Story Summary:

When Leigh Matthews finds herself lost due to an unexpected detour in her normal trucking route, she ends up in the middle of nowhere. As soon as she lays eyes on RJ Fitzgerald, however, a beautiful and intriguing handyman for a lonely country diner, she realizes that nowhere can be a very interesting place.

The Road to Glory is a story of two women, their bumpy road from lust to love, and the multitude of surprising turns along the way.

Author Commentary:

When people comment about The Road to Glory, they often mention the love scenes. Not one to write very explicit sexual encounters, I decided to cut loose in this tale and was rewarded with a amazingly positive reader response. Writing sex is surprisingly technical and so it’s not one of my favorite parts of storytelling. But sometimes a girl has to break out of the box, ya know?

The Road to Glory was the first novel where I firmly planted my foot in the fantasy genre. It also contains a couple of crossover characters from one of my very early works, The Story of Me. While the story is packed with humor and sexual heat, it's primarily a love story about destiny and achieving your heart’s desire.

It's for those of us who simply love love.

The cover was created by the talented Mary D. Brooks. The colors Mary chose aren’t ones I’m drawn to everyday life. But for this cover, they work perfectly and impart upon the reader a very good sense of the surreal. This book also has my favorite back cover and features a custom drawing by Lucia. It makes me happy just to look it.
